Monitoring Coordinator

Department: Operations
Location: Columbia, MD

Come aboard the ARK! ARK Systems, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Monitoring Coordinator to support our Operations team.

Summary:

This position provides administrative/ technical support for monitoring contracts, invoicing, direct customer service, and work as part of a team supporting operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Activates new monitored accounts online and verifies signals with field staff and the central station.
  • Sets up new monitoring customers within the database.
  • Updates, terminates and maintains existing accounts within the database.
  • Initiates new customer contact and welcome.
  • New customer documentation follow-up.
  • Prepares security alarm registration paperwork for new contracts.
  • Reviews daily ‘late to test’ signal reports and sends documentation to customers as required.
  • Reconciles monthly central station bill.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Office administrative knowledge of procedures and the use of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through 2+ years of related experience.
  • Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, determining solutions to various administrative problems.
  • Good oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume/fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Positive and respectful attitude.
  • Able to maintain good working relationships with management, employees and customers.
  • The ability to learn and comprehend technical concepts as they relate to the security and life safety industry.

Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Office is required
  • Proficiency in working with various types of computerized software
  • 2+ years of related clerical experience
  • Industry specific technical knowledge/ formal training, a PLUS!

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
